Our approach
Not your average consulting service
Our mission is to empower people, teams and organisations to realise their potential of creating a more equitable, just and hopeful world.
Our work is guided by the following principles:
Leading with curiosity
We form partnerships based on mutual trust and respect, and always endeavour to complement rather than instruct. We ask big questions and offer meaningful insights to get to the heart of what you are trying to achieve.
Practising power literacy
Each of us has a responsibility to understand our own power and privilege, and illuminate how power functions in the spaces we occupy to create space for marginalised voices to step forward and be heard. We endeavour to centre the lived experience of those we serve in our practice.
Building coalitions to catalyse change
We understand that an organised whole is greater than the sum of its parts. We focus on understanding your context, getting clear on your shared vision, leveraging your strengths and supporting collaboration so you can be more effective and impactful.
Measuring impact not growth
Growth is easy to measure but a poor indicator of success. We challenge our clients to shift their thinking from growth to impact and support them to develop meaningful metrics that promote learning, attract funding and inspire their teams.
Making ourselves redundant
We believe that charities should fundamentally be committed to creating a world where they are no longer required. Our goal is similarly to solve problems rather than address symptoms. This means building the capacity of our clients and ultimately working ourselves out of a job.
Together we are:
-
Values-led
We share your vision of creating a fairer and more equitable world for everyone.
-
Reliable
We operate with honesty, transparency, integrity and prioritise quality over quantity.
-
Reflective
We think systemically and aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo. We prioritise learning over knowing.
-
Experienced
We understand your needs because we’ve been there before - honing our skills at nonprofits large and small.
